False Teachers and Their Followers Perish:
Not only are the foolish virgins denied entry into the Kingdom of God, but also the false teachers. Christ said to these false ministers:
Matthew 7:21-23 (KJV)
“21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” (emphasis added)
These wicked servants who did not give the flock their portion of meat (the Word) in due season will have a worse ending than the unbelievers:
Luke 12:42-48 (KJV) (Matt 24:45-51 KJV):
“42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? 43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath. 45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; 46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers. 47 And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. 48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.” (emphasis added)
‘Meat’ in Greek is Trophe Strong’s G5160: food, nourishment. This word meat used in the NT in the context of the flock being fed by ministers of God refers to Scripture, i.e. food that enables spiritual growth:
Hebrews 5:14 (KJV) “14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”; 1 Cor 3:2 (KJV) “2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.”
These false teachers corrupt the Holy Scripture and make merchandise out of the flock for their personal gain. Sadly, their end is perdition:
2 Peter 2:1-3 (KJV)
“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise (Emporeuomai Strong’s G1710 to go a trading, to travel for business, to traffic, trade… to use a person or a thing for gain) of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.” (emphasis added)
Phil 3:18-19 KJV
18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
God’s Word is irrefutable, infallible, and immutable, for He is The Word. Christ is the Living Word, and He said:
Matt 24:35 (KJV); Luke 21:33 KJV “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”
Both, the false teachers of the Word and those that go to them, perish. Christ returns only for those that are His, who have overcome the flesh by the power of His Spirit:
Gal 5:24 KJV “And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.”
1 Cor 15:23 KJV “But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.”
Conclusion:
The Apostle Paul rebuked the believers (the flock) for their divisions (denominations) based on different leadership and doctrine, and said that they were carnal as long as they did so. He referred to them as immature and not able to bear deeper Truth (meat):
1 Corinthians 3 (KJV)
“And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. 3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? 4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?”
1 Cor 4:14-17 (KJV)
“14 I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you. 15 For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. 16 Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me. 17 For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.”
To preach a Gospel differing to Christ’s doctrine is no minor thing. The Apostle Paul said they that preach a different Gospel, man or angel, are accursed:
Galatians 1:8-10 (KJV)
“8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. 10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.” (emphasis added)
Even as God is a Trinity in perfect unity, those that are Christ’s shall be in unity with one another, for The Word is in perfect harmony. There is one Gospel built on the foundation of Christ crucified (judgment and righteousness are the foundation of His Throne): 1 John 5:7-8 (KJV) “7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.”
They that belong to Christ will have one unified testimony of Jesus Christ. They will overcome the enemy by the Blood the Lamb, and the Word of their testimony (Rev 12 KJV).
